Kova doesn't run its own forum. The good ones already exist. Here's where to find them, organized by where you are in the process.
For people in the research and consultation phase, before treatment begins.
Reddit · Reddit forum
Roughly 200,000 subscribers. The pinned threads for first-time IVF have a wealth of practical advice. Search before posting — your question has been asked.
VisitNonprofit · Live (virtual) and in-person
Resolve is the National Infertility Association nonprofit. Their support groups are vetted, free, and led by trained facilitators. Many are virtual now.
VisitPatient reviews · Forum
Cleaner UX than Reddit, smaller community. Useful for comparing clinics and reading detailed patient reviews of doctors.
VisitDay-of cycle support, monitoring updates, dose questions, the long stretches.
Reddit · Reddit forum
The most active general IVF community online. Daily threads, vent posts, retrieval and transfer recaps. Use search and check pinned weekly threads.
VisitReddit · Reddit forum
For people who have moved into pregnancy after infertility. Often quieter and gentler than general pregnancy forums, which can be hard after treatment.
VisitReddit · Live chat
r/IVF maintains a list of cycle-buddy Discord servers organized by retrieval or transfer month. Smaller, faster than forum posts, more chatty.
VisitGrief, between-cycle decisions, second opinions, the question of stopping.
Reddit · Reddit forum
Weekly threads for failed cycles, biochemicals, and miscarriages. Posters are direct and kind.
VisitReddit · Reddit forum
Specifically for pregnancy loss support, broader than fertility treatment. Good for the early weeks after.
VisitNonprofit · Live (virtual)
Vetted groups specifically for people who have experienced loss. Some are led by therapists who have lived this themselves.
VisitSurrogacy, egg donation, donor sperm, donor embryo, and LGBTQ family building.
Reddit · Reddit forum
For intended parents and carriers. Search by phase: matching, contracts, transfer, pregnancy, post-birth.
VisitReddit · Reddit forum
Smaller than r/IVF, focused on the recipient and donor side. Useful for fresh-vs-frozen and bank comparisons.
VisitReddit · Reddit forum
Active community for people pursuing donor sperm independently. Practical, supportive, lots of cycle stories.
VisitReddit · Reddit forum
For LGBTQ+ family building. Reciprocal IVF, gestational carriers, known and bank donors, second-parent adoption, all of it.
VisitWebsite · Program
Nightlight's embryo donation program also runs support events. A useful entry point even if you choose a different program.
VisitSome people want a forum to skim. Some want a phone call.
Nonprofit · Phone / email
Free help and referrals from the national infertility nonprofit. Useful if you want a real person to talk to about which support fits your situation.
VisitWebsite · 1:1 peer mentor matching
Matches you with someone who's been through what you're going through. The match is intentionally narrow (path, age, location, religion if relevant).
VisitCoaching · Concierge fertility coaching
Paid one-on-one coaching with credentialed nurses. Not free; useful if you want a specific person to text questions to between clinic visits.
VisitWe've intentionally not linked to general fertility Facebook groups, some of which are very large and very active. Quality varies widely there and moderation is uneven. If you find one you trust, that's great. We just don't feel comfortable putting our stamp on them yet.
